Pimple Popping

Pimple Popping, have you ever done that and just wished you hadn’t? I think we have all popped a pimple or two at some stage in our lives, unless you are very disciplined, and I know I am not. The bottom line is that you risk leaving a scar on your skin and even though that may not be important at the time, it can come back to haunt you.  Those days where you want to lie on the beach and get a glorious tan can be just a tad embarrassing if there is scarring left from your popping pimple days.

If you have acne, blackheads, whiteheads or any type of pimple, then you will have a rather annoying itch.  If you have the urge to scratch or attack them with a needle then you take the risk, that the spots may become infected, and also the risk of more pimples occuring and they in turn can even become diseased and then leave scars. My advice, don’t join the pimple popping brigade and just find a suitable cream or product. Yes I know the itch will drive you mad, but scratching it is just an instant moment of relief, and you could suffer the mark of that for a lifetime.

Pimples are usually just a clogged up pore, usually with old dead skin and inside forms like a watery or creamy substance, and of course a touch of bacteria and better know as a "pus".. I know that isn’t a pleasant thing and I also know that it is so tempting to squeeze. The skin normally rises outwards where the pore has been blocked and becomes inflamed and you end up with a horrid blackhead, or a red spot with a small white bit right at the top. Some people call them “zits”, but either way popping pimples or popping zits is just not a good thing to do.

So just think about what you are doing when you begin that squeezing motion. First of all you damage the skin around it and because you squeeze so hard to break the pimple, you have in effect also broken the skin. I suppose it depends where the pimple is as different parts of the body are more sensitive than others, but if you break skin anywhere, there is a strong chance that it could scar. The other thing to remember is that you will most likely never get out all the horrid stuff inside and by squeezing you are also pushing some of it farther into the roots, and that will spread and could give you even more pimples, and we all know that is not a good thing.  There is also a really big risk of infection if you perform an unhygienic squeeze using pressure which pushes the puss deeper into the skin, and indeed can spread it on to the exterior of unaffected skin.

How to get rid of Pimples or Acne?

You can get pimples taken away by professional people (dermatologist) who know what they are doing and many can be cured by the application of a cream. The same goes for a zit or even acne.  There quite a list of available treatments depending on how severe the rash, acne, blackhead, white head or pimples may be.  The god news is that there are cures.

The best way of preventing pimples in the first place is all about good hygiene and the application of some type of moisturiser that is suitable for your skin. Please remember we all have different skin types so ask your pharmacist. Drinking water is good for hydration and also for getting any impurities out of the system, and then try to avoid soaps on your face if you can. Get a suitable product for washing your face from the chemist or pharmacy. Remember to wash you hands often and try really hard to avoid them rubbing or touching your face as any bacteria will spread quickly. It is best if you can avoid pimple popping of any kind but I do know how hard that can be, so good luck.
