How To Solve A Rubix Cube Quickly

Welcome to this short hub on how to solve a rubix cube quickly. There are many people who will be able to show you how to do this but these are usually slow methods. Here is a way of doing this quickly and watching the amazement on your friend's faces as you do so.

Like many things in life there is always a logical method to doing things and solving the Rubix cube is no different. Go about this in a random method and you may get it once by luck but probably never achieve that again. Follow the system is the key to success and there are many systems. The one I will show you is the fast one and will leave you with a winning solution to solving the Rubix cube.

It may seem daunting at the start but with practice you will be amazed how quick you can become at this and be the envy of your friends.

Step One

Look at the centre of each of the six sides, that will determine the color each face will eventually be. As you look at it now pick a face and that will now be called the front face. The one at the back will be the back face, the one underneath the bottom face, the one on the left the left face and finally the one on the right the right face.

It is just important to lock this into your head so as you can work at solving the Rubix cube puzzle. Ok, so far so good.

You are now going to create a cross structure on the front face so matching the centre color to form a cross and leaving the four diagonal cubes as they are. I always pick the white face to do first. So look and find the white center and now hold the cube so as you are looking down on the white center piece. Now you need to form a white cross. When you are forming the white cross you also need to do it in a way that the white color edge piece also lines up with the centre color of the other face. Step Two

Next we shall solve the four corner pieces that contain a white sticker. Again refer to the video below to see how that is done. It is quite a mechanical way but saves on the brain power. Begin by rotating the cube until the face with the white cross is now on the bottom and keep it there until the four corners are completed. There are three algorithms and I would suggest that you write these down until you get used to them. Again refer to the video to see these in action. you should now have a completed white face. That is the first layer completed.

Step Three

Then we are going to solve another four pieces. These are the four pieces of the edges that don't have a yellow sticker and we are going to get them into the middle. There are only two algorithms to remember this time and once again refer to the video. By now you have probably got further than ever before and you should have completed the second layer.

Step Four

You now want to complete the yellow face.Again there are two more different algorithms to follow so please watch the video for clarity.

Step Five

The good news is there is only one algorithm to remember. Apply this until you end up with a solid yellow face and you are close to completion.

Step Six

You begin by solving the four corners that do not match. You are looking for a face with headlights as explained in the video. Place them at the back and then apply a single algorithm. All the corners should now be in the right places.

Step Seven

Solving the rubix cube. Just one algorithm to do this time and voila, you are done.
