Computer Mouse Guide
Welcome to my computer mouse guide. You will find this especially useful if you are not sure which mouse to buy for your PC. There is a staggering choice of these available and this will help you sort through what is really important when you come to make your buying decision.
All mice have at least two buttons on them, left click and right click. There are then some extra buttons on them such as a scroll button which makes moving up and down a web page a lot quicker and easier.
Most Computer Mice are also suitable for left and right handed people, but always check as some will be specifically made for one hand or the other. You can get mice that are suitable for desktops, laptops and web books. They will usually connect to your PC or laptop by USB port or what is known as PS/2. That is simply a place on the back of your PC where the mouse plugs directly into and avoids using up a USB port.
Computer mice typically come with a lead and some of these have a retractable cord which means it is a lot neater and tidier. There are also choices for having a wireless mouse, which means there are no wires at all.
Some mice have what is known as a ball type movement underneath and these will work best on a mouse mat or a flat surface. You should around once a month pop the back off your mouse and clean the ball as this will prevent it from sticking.
Other computer mice use an optical device instead of a ball movement. There are also laser mice which are very precise and great for all you gamers out there.
The latest mice devices are called "Nano mouse" and these are wireless mice but do require a battery. They come with a nano dongle which can be used for storage and they are proving to be very popular today.
Finally there are mice which have a special ergonomic design that suits the shape of your hand and if you are a heavy user these would be recommended.
I hope this Computer Mouse guide has helped you with your buying decision.
